- iPhone 14pro and 14 pro max are getting a completely new design. They are getting a dual hole-punch camera that is exclusive to the pro models only.
2. The camera is getting wider, taller, and thicker because apple is now going with a new lens that is 48 megapixels from 12 megapixels finally. Now with the new 48 megapixels, we can expect an 8K recording but very few people are going to use that as it takes up a lot of space. But the 48 megapixels will give more room for light and a much crisper image. So zooming into the images now won’t be an issue unlike with the 12-megapixel one. We might also expect new colors for the pro models.
3. No mini from next year. Mini is really good overall packaging but when it comes to sales of mini it’s not up to the mark so they are discontinuing it and going with the new iPhone 14 max which is a max version of the normal iPhone 14. So the expected lineup is as follows:
iPhone 14 6.1 inches (60 HZ)
iPhone 14 max 6.7 inches (60 HZ)
iPhone 14 pro 6.1 inches (120 HZ)
iPhone 14 pro max 6.7 inches (120 HZ)
4. Only two Pro models would upgrade to the A16 processor, while the 14 & 14 Max will remain the A15. All four new models will likely come with 6GB RAM, with the difference being LPDDR 5 (14 Pro & 14 Pro Max) vs. LPDDR 4X (14 & 14 Max).
5. Finally, we can expect iPhone 14 pro starting from 1099$ or 1199$ as Tsmc has begun to increase its chip prices and due to the shortage as well. Apple was consistent with their price since 2017 when iPhone X was launched it was the first phone to get the 999$ mark and from then till 2021 apple was consistent with the same 999$ USD of their entry-level pro model. Unlike Samsung which is getting more expensive every year.
6. Apple may release its next gallium nitride (GaN) charger in 2022, which supports about 30W and has a new form factor design.
